AceX!Chubby Reader- Never Change [Drabble]

You stood in front of the wardrobe mirror, a small smile on your chubby face and hands confidently placed upon your plush waist. You've finally reached a good point in your life, you were finally happy with yourself!

Of course, a majority of the help came in the form of your adoring boyfriend Ace. You first met the devil fruit user when you literally ran into him while you were trying to escape the Marines. Being chubby and running really didn't mix well. Of course Ace being the gentleman he is offered to carry you back to his ship to hide out.

Being the self-conscious girl you were back then, you kindly declined only to have the fire user pick you up bridal style and high tail it back to his ship. You accepted their offer to travel with them until the next island, but soon Ace and yourself started hanging out and getting to know one another and eventually Ace asked you to travel with them as part of the crew and with the approval of White beard and everyone else it was a sealed deal.

As you traveled with Ace and the crew, you both grew closer to one another and eventually asked you on a date which was romantic until he forgot the money and had to make a dine and dash. It's been two years since that night and you've both been going strong. He never poked fun at your weight like many others have, but tried to help you through your issues and show you how much he loves you.

You've never been more grateful to someone more than Ace.

A loud bang of the door slamming against the wall snapped you out of daze as you spun around and saw none other than Ace standing in the doorway with a huge grin on his face.

"Ace, what did I tell you about knocking!?"

Said man shut the door and stalked over to you as his grin slipped from his face and his mouth just fell slack making it stay wide open.

"Umm...Ace are you ok?" You reached a hand out to check for a fever only to have him gently grab the hand and bring you closer to his warm frame.

"Sorry (your name), I couldn't wait to see you in this dress. You look gorgeous as always and I love that it hugs you like this." He slid his free hand down the curve of your chubby waist.

"It suits you so well (your name), the next island we stop at we're buying you more." he pulled back and twirled you around emitting a laugh from you.

"There's that laugh I love!" The twirling stopped as you both laughed. He leaned his forehead against yours. "I love you (your name)." You nuzzled his nose with yours in an Eskimo kiss. "I love you too, dork."

"Promise me one thing." You gazed into his Onyx eyes with a raised brow.

"Depends on the promise." You teased him a bit in response.

"Never change and never forget how beautiful you are." He placed a gentle kiss on your cheek as a small blush adorned your chubby face.

"Ace, with you by my side I don't think I'll ever do those things."
